Air Monitor CA STATION – COMBUSTION AIRFLOW MEASUREMENT STATION

The CA Station measures the total and static pressure components of airflow. The combination and dispersion of total and static pressure sensing ports minimizes the effect of directional airflow, and the addition of the honeycomb airflow processing cell makes the CA Station extremely effective at accurately measuring airflow in limited straight duct runs.

Hydrastep Steam Drum Water Level Monitoring

Failure to detect low water levels in steam raising plant can have costly and potentially disastrous consequences. Fail-safe water level detection is vital to prevent damage to plants and personnel. Trusted globally for 50 years, the Hydrastep electronic gauging system is the ideal ‘fit and forget’ solution to overcome the problems associated with unreliable and maintenance-intensive gauge glasses. INDEPENDENTLY VALIDATED: An independent report by Factory Mutual Research concluded that the statistical probability of Hydrastep missing a trip condition is less than 1 in 300 million and that nuisance trips will be less than 1 in 10 million.

Delta-Mobrey Hydratect 2462 Steam and Water Detection System

Hydratect can be used in a wide variety of situations wherever the detection of water or steam is vital for safe and efficient plant operation. A typical application to ensure TWIP (Turbine Water Induction Protection) is condensate level detection in drain pots (condensate pots). Hydratect can be used to give compliance with ASME TDP-1, Prevention of Water Damage to Steam Turbines Used for Electric Power Generation: Fossil-Fueled Plants.

Portable SF6 Leak Detector

SF6 LeakCheck P1:p is designed for the location, leak testing and measurement of SF6 leaks in high voltage electrical switchgear. The revolutionary SF6 leak detector rapidly detects leaks down to 1 x 10-8 ml/sec, with a response and clear down of less than 1 second. The instrument’s award winning Negative Ion Capture (NIC) technology with non-radioactive source eliminates problems of registration, storage and transportation. The LeakCheck P1:p SF6 leak detector is unaffected by large leaks. The detector will continue to remain uncontaminated even after exposure to 100% SF6 gas.

Ion Science SF6 AreaCheck P2 – Fixed SF6 Leak Detection

Designed for fixed continuous SF6 area monitoring, the AreaCheck P2 with 12-point network controller rapidly detects low-level SF6 leaks. The fixed SF6 leak detector utilises relay output for immediate awareness of detected leaks, and presents no cross sensitivity with any other gas or moisture in the air. The AreaCheck P2 has no filter problems due to its minimum air intake (compared to pump operated systems). Instrument setup is carried out easily via a computer or network interface, allowing optimal protection from unauthorised access. The SF6 AreaCheck P2 has a built in low flow alarm and self-diagnostic testing. The instrument’s serviceable components are comprised in the user exchangeable SmartSensor, with a lifetime of up to 12 months. Measuring stations are maintenance-free, ensuring instrument downtime is minimised. The SF6 leak detector can be effectively used as a stand-alone instrument or with the P2 network controller and up to eleven other SF6 AreaCheck P2s.

SF6 LeakMate

The ideal low cost SF6 leak detector The SF6 LeakMate leak detector is a great device for mobile SF6 leak detection. In practical use, it has a detection threshold of 1x10-6 mbar l/s, which makes it perfectly suitable for simple leak detection applications on SF6 switchgear. The easy to use, processor controlled instrument features both an audible alarm and an LED bar graph display, letting you know if a small, medium or big leak has been detected. The leak detector automatically compensates all ambient influences like temperature changes or movement of air in the room. Intelligent control sets up the instrument appropriately for the ambient situation.

Boiler Acoustic Steam Leak Detection System

The Procon Boiler Acoustic Steam Leak Detection System is designed to detect a steam leak the moment it begins, allowing time for a planned schedule to shut down the boiler at an optimum time, such as the weekend. This results in substantial reduction of repair times and costs with a consequent increase in plant availability and profits. The early detection of a tube leak will give financial savings which will easily exceed the initial capital cost of the detection system even at the first event.

Air Monitor VOLU-PROBE SS – STAINLESS STEEL TRAVERSE PROBE

The VOLU-probe/SS Stainless Steel Airflow Traverse Probe is ideal for clean or harsh and particulate laden applications operating at temperatures ranging from -20 - 900°F. It consists of multiple Pitot total and static pressure sensing ports positioned along the length of each probe to traverse the duct cross-section. They average the sensed pressures in their separate internal manifolds and provide velocity pressure measurement accurate to within 2-3% of actual flow.

Air Monitor AUTO-PURGE III

ir Monitor's AUTO-purge III is designed for applications where the continuous exposure to airborne particulate might impair the measurement accuracy of our Combustion Air Station (CA Station) or our VOLU-probe/SS array. When activated by one of our "smart" flow transmitters or a distributed control system, a combination of valves are operated to introduce high pressure, high volume air into the flow measurement device's sensing ports for a short duration while simultaneously isolating the transmitter from over-pressurization. This periodic purging assists in maintaining the sensing ports of the total and static pressure manifolds in a clear unobstructed condition.

VorCone™ - Steam Quality / Two Phase Flow Meters

VorTek Instruments’ VorCone™ flow meters utilize two different flow meter technologies in combination; vortex and differential pressure. This combination allows for the prediction of the fluid density, volumetric flow rate and mass flow rate without any fluid density information being required from an external source. In saturated steam service, the meter produces a reliable steam quality (dryness) measurement and steam mass flow rate reading.

Pro-V™ M23 Multivariable Flowmeter (Insertion)

Insertion vortex meters measure flow by detecting the local velocity at a strategically located position within the pipe. Our Pro-V™ Model M23 detects the frequency at which vortices are shed from the bluff body located within the sensor head and then converts this to a volumetric flow in the electronics. The Pro-V™ Model M23 also uses the local velocity, along with other parameters, such as fluid type, pipe size and Reynolds number to calculate the average pipe velocity, and consequently, the volumetric flow rate.
