Bio-Process Probes

A complete range of pH, ORP and dissolved oxygen sensors for use in the fermentation process. All styles of mountings are available along with cable and connector assemblies designed to meet the rigorous requirements of the bio-process industry.

Analytical Measurements

Sensors and Accessories for pH, ORP/Redox:

Dynaprobes are severe service, robust probes that feature the unique and patented "Ion Traps" which capture and retain contaminating Ions. This prevents sensor poisoning and provides for a longer and trouble free operating life to pH and ORP sensors. A wide range of mounting options are available and all incorporate a temperature sensor for thermal compensation.

Conductivity Sensors and Accessories:

For monitoring water quality for such applications as boiler feed water, etc. Ranges from from 0-20 to 0-1,000,000 micro Seimens, Press/Temp: 250 psig at 200 C,  316 or Hastalloy body.

Turbidity Measurement: Scattered light measurement  principle in accordance with ISO 7027. Two ranges: 0.001 to 1000 NTU and 0.001 to 4000NTU. (Unmatched in the market!).

ISO Pharm/Accuscreen

Designed to work on the bench top or factory floor, ISO Pharm and Accuscreen are rugged raw material and dispensary analyzers which can identify, qualify and archive pharmaceutical materials composition in a few seconds. Software provides internal archiving and reporting under GMP principles and is compliant with 21 CFR Part 11.

Recording, Data Logging, Controller & Indicators

Paperless Recorders:

Together with its PC software components, this paperless recorder provides a closed system for the electronic acquisition, storage and archiving of process data. The presentation is a 5.7" color screen on which the data can be displayed in different formats (numbers, diagrams, bar graph, etc.). Measurement data is electronically stored and available both locally or on a PC.

Data Loggers:

Tiny Tag Data Loggers are compact, battery powered units. The range of applications include temperature, humidity, mV, mA, volts, pulses, shock and vibration monitoring and recording. Tinytag Explorer software allows for simple configuration of the logger and easy manipulation of the data.

Controllers:

IMAGO is a process and program controller with up to 8 controller channels or 4 program channels. The display is a 5" color graphics display. The layout of the screen templates can be individually adapted and adjusted. The controller features up to8 analogue inputs and 6 logic inputs. A setup program is available for configuring from a PC.

Process Indicators:

Precision Digital offers a wide range of digital indicators designed to work with any industrial instrument transmitter. Options include alarm contacts, scaled outputs and control relays for batch service. The Consolidator is available in 4 and 8 input models, minimizing the cost and space requirement when multiple instruments are to be monitored. Wall or panel mount versions area available.

Level Switches

A comprehensive range of point level detection technologies for alarm and control duty on liquids, slurries and powdered/granular products. Technologies offered are float, displacer, ultrasonic, vibrating fork, capacitive, conductivity, optical, tilt sensors and diaphragm.

A comprehensive range of continuous level sensing and indication technologies for measurement, alarm and control duty on liquids, slurries and powdered/granular products. Technologies offered are Radar, ultrasonic, magneto-restrictive, RF Admittance, magnetic by-pass gauges, sight glasses, hydrostatic, thermal mass, sonar and sounding probes.

Temperature

Thermal Imaging/InfraRed: Wahl offers the lowest cost high performance thermal imaging camera on the market. Ergonomically designed, this compact instrument features a 160 X 120 detector array for high resolution measurement. An affordable and easy to use diagnostic tool, images can be easily downloaded to a PC with the supplied SD card reader for post analysis.

Digistem Thermometer and Transmitter systems provide digital accuracy and reliability of temperature measurements in rugged industrial environments. A wide range of stems and remote interface connections accommodate most installation requirements. FDA approved.

Liquid Filled: Palmer industrial thermometers set industrial standards for accuracy, quality and rugged operation. These classic thermometers are designed and constructed for long term industrial service. Palmer still manufacturers FDA approved Mercury filled thermometers, long a standard of measurement in food processing, for use in the pasturization process.

Dial Thermometers: Bestobell Aquatronix offers an exceptionally complete range of thermometers by combining the capabilities of two leading manufacturers.Capabilities include simple low cost industrial models, remote indicating systems, sanitary service, high performance rugged models for severe service, etc.

Handheld Thermometers: Wahl manufactures a complete range of portable temperature probes and meters to suit all requirements. Thermistor, RTD or thermocouple sensing ensures the right price, range and sensitivity to suit any requirement. For process verification and Quality Assurance.

Flow

Thermal Mass Gas Measurment: The Fox Thermal Mass flowmeter is the instrument of choice for reliable and accurate gas flow measurement. The instrument measures in standard units without the need for temperature and pressure compensation. Ideal for compressed air, CO2, Natural Gas, etc.

Ultrasonic:  The measurement of flow is based on the principle the sound waves are influenced by a flowing medium. Measurements are made by penetrating the pipe wall with ultrasound and subsequent time differences, frequency variations and phase shifts of the ultrasonic signals are evaluated. The measuring technique has no effect on the flowing liquid. There is no pressure loss in the pipe and no wear on components of the measuring device. The ultrasonic sensors are clamped onto the outside of the pipe, thus eliminating the need to interrupt the process.

Magnetic Flowmeters: The RPmag62 flow meter is suitable for use in many industries including chemical, power generation and distribution, mining, water treatment, pulp and paper, pharmaceutical, food and environmental protection. There are no moving parts in the measuring tube and there is no pressure loss. The RPmag62 flow meter has a wide measuring range and is available with a choice of wetted materials and linings to suit a wide range of applications.

Wireless Receiver/Datalogger

The CR1 also accommodates 256 transmitters and also records the data for future analysis. The system is available with CFR 21, Part 11 validation software to insure integrity of data, as often required in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Battery or Loop Powered Transmitters, 1 or 2 Channel

Transmitters are available with integral sensors for temperature, humidity or LUX for applications in buildings and museums. For industrial applications, the transmitters can accept standard process signals such as 4-20 mADC, resistance, etc.

Signal transmission distance is up to 5 km and repeaters can be fitted to accommodate greater distances or in applications where obstructions are a factor.

Ethernet Interface & Signal Conditioning

Ethernet modules provide network interface for analog and discrete I/O signals. Multi-range analog inputs and outputs support a wide variety of industrial devices.

Computation modules provide the ability to perform mathematical functions separately from the PLC or DCS, enhancing system speed and functionality.

Isolation modules protect instruments from damage due to ground loops, etc.

Steam Traps/Energy Conservation

Only Bestobell Aquatronix can provide a steam trap guaranteed not to allow the passage of live steam for a period of up to 3 years. The Bestobell Delta B is unique and can save you thousands of dollars per year and provide a payback as short as 6 months. But as there is no such thing as a universal steam trap, Bestobell offers a full compliment of technologies to be able to provide the right product for your application.

Bestobell is an Enbridge approved trap survey contractor wherein Enbridge will subsidize 50% of the cost of the survey and any recommended upgrades.

In addition, Bestobell provides condensate return systems and leak detection instruments.
